Many Reiki practitioners have expressed the need for a refresher course, feeling unsure about giving treatments or participating in Reiki Shares. Some may have forgotten the hand positions, while others might not have received the four attunements at each level or felt something was missing in their training. I, too, experienced this when I took my first Level I course. Later, I discovered a more knowledgeable and experienced Usui Shiki Ryoho Master/Teacher, which transformed my practice.

Consider these questions:

• Has it been years since you practiced Usui Reiki, either for yourself or others?
• Are you expanding your Usui Reiki practice to train others?
• How long ago were you trained and attuned to Usui Reiki?
• Did you receive the traditional Usui Shiki Ryoho method of four attunements at each level?

The power of Reiki is transferred through the ancient Tibetan technique of the four attunements.  This process elevates your energy, especially when paired with daily self-Reiki treatments and healing others.

Don’t be misled by anyone claiming you don’t need all four attunements at each level.  It is a MUST! It is essential to honor this tradition to be the most powerful Reiki practitioner you can be.

Reflect on your journey:

• Where were you trained, and who trained you?
• Did you receive one-on-one guidance from a certified Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, in a group setting, or on an inexpensive online course?
